A Dream Realized in Jazz

Twenty musicians united by a single passion have brought their dream to life with the Big Band Project, Full Stack 20. This journey began when Jakob Stehrer and Steffi Schwab crossed paths at a big band workshop in 2016. Their mutual love for jazz and playing with a full line-up sparked an instant connection. Initially forming a quartet, their ambition didn’t stop there; they aspired to create something larger.

A few years passed but in 2024, Full Stack 20 stands as a testament to their vision—a big band that embodies the spirit of jazz for all who share this passion. Our musicians, fueled by joy and a commitment to musical growth over commercial interests, explore a rich tapestry of genres. From the vibrant compositions of Bob Mintzer to the timeless hits of Earth Wind and Fire, and the classic tunes of Oliver Nelson, our repertoire knows no bounds.

Under the musical direction of Patrick Dunst, Full Stack 20 boasts talent in each section, promising powerful performances that resonate.
